COMME DES GARCONS HOMME

After the establishment of COMME des GARÇONS as a successful women's line in 1973, Rei Kawakubo began expanding CdG into the revered fashion house we know today. The COMME des GARÇON HOMME menswear line was launched in 1978 with Kawakubo's protegé Junya Watanabe at the helm. Having worked closely with Rei and the company initially as a patternmaker, Junya - like his mentor - shares a penchant for creating innovative and distinct designs in contemporary fashion.
