One of the first pre-shrunk pair of Levi's, the 1967 505 rigid jeans were shrunk by the company's "special process 686," which retained the strength of the cloth and minimized shrinkage. Essentially they are one of the first pairs of sanforized denim. The slimmer fit of the 505 jean was a popular trend in the day and still retains a big following today. The 1967 version of the 505 retains the copper waistbrand button and the two-sided capital "E" red tab.
